There's something about March that, if you'll pardon the pun, puts a spring in my step. The daffodils are out, the days are longer, and it feels like there's a bit more warmth and sunshine. I feel like I get much more motivated to set goals and do a reset now rather than in January at the beginning of the year where the come down from Christmas hits, the doom and gloom of the winter is strong and it feels like the longest month- January this year felt like it lasted months.
So, having woken up to a blue sky the past few mornings and rays of sunshine, I feel now is the time to consider the first 2 months of the year so far and think about what I want to do as the first few flourishes of spring begin to appear.
1. Spring clean my room
While I do keep my room clean and tidy, there's something about a good 'spring clean'. I want to completely get everything out and give it a good scrub, but I also want to decorate it. I've had the same decor since I moved in nearly 4 years ago and rushed into painting the walls without thinking about what I really wanted, so I want to design my room properly and redecorate it.
2. Pay off my bathroom loan and organise finances
When I got my bathroom renovated last year, I was offered interest free finance so took advantage of that. However, to ease my monthly outgoings, I want to pay off the remaining portion of the loan and then I can properly reassess and organise my finances.
3. Spend some time in the garden
Hopefully we'll have a few warm, sunny moments that can be spent in the garden.
4. Spring clean my wardrobe
I've still got some Christmas jumpers hanging in the wardrobe and my drawers are all a mess, so I want to organise and declutter my wardrobe. I'm tempted to try the 33 items for 3 months challenge to really identify the things I really wear the most.
Hopefully these things will keep me occupied over the next few weeks as we properly go into spring and reset ready for the warmer, sunnier months.
