New Year: New Me #gymproblems

The gym is a big part of my lifestyle and I try to go 4-5 times a week. I'm not the most sophisticated person when working out: I try to lift weights too heavy for me and then try to pass it off as if I knew I couldn't lift it, I lie on my hair and pull it when doing glute bridges and lose my balance when lunging.

No matter which area of the gym you're in; the cardio section, weights area, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, there always seems to be vast opportunities to shatter the facade that I actually know what I'm doing.

# GymProblems

1. When you're thinking of getting off a machine and someone gets on next to you. How long is it before it's acceptable to get off so it doesn't look like you're leaving because of them? Same applies with the jacuzzi.

2. Doing the awkward smile when you or someone else gets in the jacuzzi... who makes acknowledgement first?

3.  Having Resting Bitch Face when lifting.

4.  No matter how squat proof leggings are at home, they immediately become transparent the second you step into the gym.

5. Looking with disgust at people who don't wipe the equipment down after using it.

6. When there's loads of machines free, yet someone has to get on the treadmill next to you, and starts running faster than you. #show-off #is there an earthquake?

7. What is the acceptable amount of time to stay naked in the changing room?

8. Similarly maintaining appropriate distance. #tit-in-eye

9. Instagram users- people who hog the machines, do 2 reps, take a photo then spends the rest of the time uploading the photo to instagram then scrolling through their feed. GET OFF THE MACHINE!!!!

In the month of January there seems to be an influx of people trying to get into a new routine- good for them! However I look forward to a few months on when their enthusiasm has wavered and their visits are less frequent so I can go back to being an Awkward Annie in peace.
