On the second time of meeting, my 'true love' gave to me

One of the first things I like to learn about new people is when their birthday is so I can immediately work out what their starsign is (typical cancerian, me). However I got more than I bargained for when on a first date, my 'beau' said his birthday was 12 days away.

The first thing I thought of was that it made him an Aquarius, which typically doesn't match well with Cancer (not that I put too much stock into astrology), but as those 12 days grew closer and after a second date I began to overthink whether to get him a gift, a card or just a text.

He bought me flowers on both dates with no reason needed so why was I making such a big deal at giving something myself? Is it because of the potential meaning behind it, not wanting to come on too strong or worrying about getting the wrong gift; does he drink, like chocolate etc?

2 days later was Valentines day, usually a day I avoid at all costs, however part of me was a bit pleased to be texting a boy and it coinciding with the 14th February-even if I'm still not sure of my feelings. Yet the coward in me was too scared to say anything, again for fear of sending mixed signals.

So something I've learned is not to start dating someone around eithers birthdays, national holidays and definitely not before the 'day of love'.
