As I type this post, the dog is sleeping peacefully next to me, yet it's like she's got psychic powers in that the second I think about moving, she wakes up.
There are many jobs I've started that are half finished: cleaning my car, painting my room, putting away my jumpers from Christmas (2 months ago!) and organising my books I haven't sorted from moving. The cupboard upstairs is bursting at the seams as stuff gets shoved away quickly rather than sorting it out and little day to day jobs get forgotten.
I know I can put the dog in her crate but I don't want her to see that as a 'punishment' or to keep her out of the way so I'm trying to include her in my daily chores...
Hoovering
The dog hates the hoover which is quite entertaining to watch her run away from it. And frankly she makes the mess that needs hoovering up so quid pro quo.
Recycling
After moving house we were unendated with cardboard boxes which don't fit in the recycling bin. Enter puppy who conveniently enjoys ripping cardboard apart.
Hanging the washing up
Quite often the washing gets tangled up with each other when taken out of the washing machine: the dog likes to help by sorting out and disentagling the clothes-particularly socks and knickers. Getting them off her again is another matter.
Making the bed
I'm not a big fan of her being on my bed, however she likes to jump around on the duvet which helps to fluff the feathers a bit-it does however leave ginger hairs all over the bed...
Mowing the lawn
Our brand new lawn is getting regularly treated and trimmed through zoomies in the garden.
Helping to find glasses
If we leave glasses at reachable heights, we can guarantee they'll be teased in our faces... We'll that's if I have my contact lenses in and don't need the glasses...
I long for the day I can go to the toilet without being followed, can leave a room without checking everything's away first out of paws reach and can leave doors open without the risk of rugs and furniture being chewed.
If anyone has any tips, my introvert self will be tremendously grateful!
