2021- quarter year review

We are 3 months, or 95 days into the new year and the above photo pretty much sums up the general mood so far: spending the majority of days in one place with the puppy. However, despite being in lockdown, hopefully it hasn't been an entirely wasted year despite the lack of opportunities available:

1. Career

I have continued to successfully run my tutor business and continued to write for my freelance job. My friend has a new job and another friend has managed to get through another term at school without her class bubble bursting.

2. Hobbies

I am halfway through a massage course which I'm working hard on and have received 100% in the majority of the modules. I'm hoping to have the course finished by June.

Hopefully the gyms will be reopening next week so I'd like to get back into fitness, especially swimming.

3.Finances

Boring but I've set up a pension which I've been aiming to do for years. I'm also saving towards future travel and a new bathroom.

However I haven't been that good with reducing spending: I have recently discovered Depop... But I'd like to think by using a second hand shop I am being more sustainable than if I was spending on asos, pretty little thing or other online shops.

4. Romance

Despite writing off dating for at least a year, I ended up dating 2 boys at once. However I am officially single again and happy to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

5. Travel

I haven't been further than 2 miles from my house but have decided on the trips I'd like to take when travel can be resumed.

It has been an unexpected and strange year, and we're still not out of the woods yet, however hopefully we're through the worst and things can start up again soon.
