How are we nearly 1/4 of the way through the year already? Although, fortunately that time has passed in a blur of busy-ness rather than lockdown!
Winter Goal Review
1. Don't feel guilty for not getting up early.
Turns out, my sluggishness may not have been due to the dark mornings, but actually from carbon monoxide poisoning... During a boiler service, the engineer gave us the bad news of CO2 leaking and a new boiler being needed. Not so great for my bank balance but a bit better for having energy in the mornings! I'm trying to be up and out for a dog walk by 8.30am and am enjoying the lighter mornings and sunnier days.
2. Enjoy movie afternoons.
As predicted, as the weather is getting a bit warmer and less miserable, I've had more motivation to get up and do stuff. Although I did enjoy binge watching all of Peaky Blinders for the first time, ready for the new series.
3. Have a clear out.
I've sorted out my bathroom, decided on a new colour scheme, cleared out the garage and 'gimp cupboard' and had a general sort out.
It feels a bit melancholy to consider these 'goals' considering everything that is going on in Europe. However our sort outs will hopefully be of help in some way: we have considered how we can send aid where it would be useful as well wanting to house refugees if we are able to.
Spring Goals- mid March-mid June
1. Visit my friend in Scotland
I've been wanting to visit my friend since she moved to Scotland nearly 3 years ago but Covid got in the way. We've pencilled in a date in May and hopefully I can finally go and see her.
2. Have a proper conversation with a boy
I do not do well with interacting with members of the opposite sex, but there are a nice group of lads that go to our local pub quiz; and they happen to be our closest rivals! While the ultimate dream would be to have a date with one of them, I'm happy to settle for having a conversation, just to get some practice at talking to boys without being a shy, blushing mess.
3. Save money for travel
I'm fortunate to have some trips coming up in the summer but I want to continue to save some money up, either for other trips, or as spending money. I'd like to save £300 over the 3 months.
