Blogmas 1- December plans and Move-ember update

Move-ember update:

Throughout November, I did well with my challenge. I went to the gym a total of 18 days with good workouts but also didn't stress on the days that I didn't go.

Additionally, I tried to go on a longer dog walk each day, even if just an extra 5 or 10 minutes, but it gave both my dog and I some extra steps.

I now need to make sure I keep this up every month.

Blogmas- December plans

I've been drip feeding Christmassy bits throughout the past month: I watched Love Actually, downloaded some Christmas music and got through a tub of Celebrations, but I've been holding off on going full-on Christmas mode... until now!

It's December 1st which means Michael Buble has defrosted, it is acceptable to eat Christmas food and the house can become a grotto. As well as some 'big' plans, there's a few little things I hope to do too.

Big Plans

Love Actually in Concert- The Hammersmith Apollo are screening Love Actually with a live orchestra, which I can't wait to hear my favourite soundtrack to my favourite Christmas film live.

Quiz Team Christmas Dinner- My quiz team and some other regular teams are gathering for a festive dinner before taking part in our weekly quiz. While we chat to them every week, it's usually quickly in between rounds, so it'll be nice to properly chat to the regulars.

Christingle Service- Christmas Eve- Every Christmas Eve as a kid, my Nan and Great Aunt would take me to the local Christingle service. They have both since passed away and I feel it a fitting tribute to remember them by.

New Years Eve in Copenhagen- I'm not a big fan of New Years Eve so I'm looking forward to spending it in Copenhagen with one of my closest friends.

Christmas Light Walk- Leeds Castle near to me is hosting a Christmas Light Walk against the backdrop of the castle, which should be beautiful.

Decorate my house and have parties- It's my third Christmas in my house, but the past 2 Christmasses have been overshadowed by a pandemic. This year, I hope more people can come and enjoy the festivities in my grotto.

Something Festive in Everyday

Films

Love Actually- My favourite Christmas film and definitely in my top 10 overall films

The Holiday- A Classic

Die Hard- My mum loved Alan Rickman and I've never seen Die Hard. I'm not sure how it's a Christmas film but I feel I owe it to Rickers to see it.

The Polar Express- I only saw this for the first time last year and loved it so can't wait to see it again.

Harry Potter Marathon- I watch these films all the time, but I rarely watch more than one. Christmas seems a good time to do it.

TV Shows

Doctor Who- Some of the Christmas episodes are some of my favourites and it makes me feel cosy.

Gavin and Stacey Christmas Specials- One of the funniest scenes are Gavin and Smithy singing to Do They Know It's Christmas in the car.

The Vicar of Dibley- cosy, funny and nostalgic

Things to do

Xmas Baking

Xmas Jigsaw puzzle

See friends

Duvet Day

Neighbours Drinks

Christmas Piano

Neighbourhood Christmas Lights Walk

Christmas Music

Christmas panini or sandwich

With a combination of big plans and little things, hopefully I can find something festive in everyday.
