Blogmas 4- I'm NOT Dreaming of a White Christmas

Every December, there are forecasts about a White Christmas; that romantic notion that snow will fall on Christmas Day, the ground covered in a blanket of snow, flakes gently falling from the sky and people playing outside making snowmen and having snowball fights.

Yet that romantic daydream turned into a nightmare recently when snow unexpectedly fell in the middle of December, bringing chaos, bad driving and halts to plans. So it led me to wonder- why are people so obsessed with a white Christmas? It would undoubtedly ruin plans of seeing family for the day, it would be difficult for people to travel, or worst of all, mean family have to outstay their welcome and bunk down with you for God knows how many days!

So while snow is pretty and exciting (for a day), I'm turning into a bit of a grinch and saying I'm not dreaming of a white Christmas!  (Although to see snow with Christmas decorations up was a nice, rare treat).
